Vehicles in India are usually topped with three coloured beacon lights: red, amber, and blue.
The usage of these lights is governed by rule #180 of the Central Vehicle Motor Rules, 1989 . The list of people entitled to the colours is detailed by the Central government and the state government.
The following list is for the state of Maharashtra.
