Bokkisam is a name derived from sanskrit, bakasam meaning treasure. This is a family name of the residents of Balija/Kapu subsect of Hindus living in Andhra Pradesh. They are customerily residents of Kakumanu in Guntur dist of the State. Most of the members of the family are into agrarian business and farmers, of late there is an increase of education and people have been moving out of their traditional jobs.
